Hi Folks,
My name is Bob Riepenhoff. I’m a third generation family farmer from Putnam County. I live about eight miles northwest of Ottawa at 14374 Rd. G. It’s a farm my grandfather, Andrew, settled; where my father, Harry, lived and raised his family; and where I’m raising my family and working to pass our farm on to the next generation.
I grew up like a lot of kids in Putnam County, helping on the farm and always involved in church, school, and community activities. As I grew older, I became aware of what a great area we live in. I noticed the way families always work to uphold their children and encourage them, the community spirit that enables us to have all the wonderful organizations and services we enjoy, and the way our people reach out to help when trouble comes.
I was interested from school days in our history and became aware of the sacrifices that each generation endured to preserve and pass on our freedoms and broaden our opportunities. It made me want to contribute what I could in my time. If you choose to re-elect me as one of your Putnam County Commissioners, I will continue to encourage that wonderful community spirit throughout our county government, to build communication and cooperation between our villages, townships, the various county offices, and the citizens of our county. I believe we have a bright future if we work together to preserve the best of our traditions and unite unselfishly and wholeheartedly to move toward that future.
